I took 4 Hydrycut hardcores over 2 day period and got bad pain in lower back,and pains spasm in neck, I been drinking lots of water and cranberryjuice hoping I can clean my system out.pains gone after 2 days but still worried if It caused any serious damage too liver and kidneys.

I have been fighting several liver problems over the last 4 years, much like most of you I am young (28) don’t drink or do drugs, and yet the VA has spent over 1 million dollars trying to find out why my levels are so high and why I have growing masses on the inside of my liver. To look at me am fit 5′7” and only weigh 180lbs. No history of liver problems, but what I do know is that I took hydroxycut while in Afghanistan and have had severe health problems since. My advice is to stop taking the supplement but DO NOT throw the bottle away or should I say “evidence”. Because we live in America, we have the oppurtunity to get the company to do more indepth research before selling a product so that what has happened to us does not happen to anyone else. I wish you all the best, I will likely be facing a liver resection here in the next few months, keep pushing as these problems have the abilty to pull you down quick.—Matt

I am really scared…I too am having liver issues. I have NEVER drank, smoked or done drugs. I am a healthnut who has also cycled Hydroxycut in and out of my workouts for years. I had a ton of symptoms that were originally diagnosed as a thyroid tumor – but along with that the doctors kept testing my liver and were baffled by the damage – firtst thinking it was linked to my diagnosed hyperthyroidism. I JUST got off hte phone with the endocrinologist who told me they are setting me up with a liver specialist at the Mayo Clinic as soon as possible. They no longer believe the damage is due to the Hyperthyroidism as treatment for that has not brought any relief. Liver continues to worsen with each subsequent test. I will never take another Hydroxycut and I hope anyone reading will stop. This has halted my life. Janaury of 2009 I was healthy as can be – hiking – weighlifting – very fit. I am 47. 8 months later I have gained 20 pounds – cannot even do a lunge nor lift any weights beyond a couple of pounds…. walking the dog is a chore. This is terrifying for me…… STOP taking the stuff!!!!

over the last 4yrs i have been diagnosed with primary liver damage also hair loss in spots severe stomach pain yellowing of skin and eyes dark urine i have been to johns hopkins also seeing a gastro dr put on meds for the rest of my life iam only 37 but until 3 months ago i was baffled i never drank or smoked no drugs worked out 5 days a week played sports but i had severe stomach pain went to the er after 3 days of test they wanted to do surgery but because of my liver the local hospital would not operate so i went to university of md medical center and we broke my test down i have had every possible test known for the liver mri ercp c-scan biopsy all more than once and it 99.9% its hydroxycut i used it way to long i cycled like it said but now i paying for it and there is no cure just pills to try and control it i was very healthy until i took this it might be rare but it happens

i posted the eairier comment about prilosec otc i didn’t have any of this vomiting or polyops before i started taking the prilosec. i looked up side affects of prilosec that were not listed with the medication when i get it from the pharmacy prilosec can cause stomach poylops.
i had them on the bottom opening of me esophogus causing my esophugus not to close all the way alowing reflux to occur. i would get this vomiting that would last up to 4 days and ended up going down the emergancy room several times because of it and was getting dehydrated all this vomiting and abdominal pain made me miss work and eventually my work let me go because i was missing so much work. now i’m unemployed with 2 kids one of which is only two months old.

I have been taking this product and experienced pain round my liver and swelling. After reading the comments of other users I just tossed the rest into the garbage. So, that was good. However, I am amazed that so many people cannot construct a proper sentence or at least know how to spell.

Now… I finally know what made me so very ill, almost one year ago. I have had all of the symptoms while taking Hydroxycut, but what I didn’t know that Hydroxycut cause it until now!. I was rushed to the Doctor for medical help and stayed in the hospital for 5 days. My liver had swelled up and I almost died if my mother had not gotten me there in time. I am glad to be alive and happy to now know what made me so very ill, because I didn’t know and the doctors didn’t know. This is not the end to my story, it’s the beginning.

I have been using Hydroxycut from Muscletech on / off for two years. It has always worked very well for me and I have not had any side effects what so ever. I am obviously very concerned with the recent news and will stop using immediately. I think that this calls for products to be thouroughly tested prior to going on the market and makes you wonder about all the other products available on the supplement market.

I have been seriously thinking of trying this product for months and had it saved in the shopping cart on gnc.com, about to buy it before it got recalled. Thank goodness I had second thoughts and waited. Losing weight is not worth losing your health!
