MTD Cub Cadet “Tracker Edition” Volunteer Utility Vehicle Recall

The U.S. Consumer Protection Safety Commission announced on Wednesday a recall for about 700 Cub Cadet 4×4 EFI Volunteer Utility Vehicles manufactured by MTD, of Brownsville, Tennessee. The utility vehicles could overheat and catch fire.

There have been reports of excessive heat causing the wiring harness to melt, creating a fire hazard. Consumers have been advised to cease use of the recalled Cub Cadet Utility Vehicles and to immediately contact a dealer for a free repair.

The recalled Cub Cadet 4×4 EFI Volunteer Utility Vehicles have four wheels, with two side-by-side seats and a small flat-bed in the back for storage. “Cub Cadet, Tracker Edition” is printed on the side panel and “Volunteer” printed on the side of the cargo bed.
