Youth ATV Recall Expanded: Kawasaki and KYMCO ATVs also could lose speed control
Kawasaki Motors Corp. and KYMCO announced the recall of 2008 model year Youth ATVs due to a risk that the vehicles could lose speed control. A similar recall was issued earlier in the week by Arctic Cat for their Youth ATV. All three recalls indicate that the throttle could fail to return to the idle position when released, or could fail to be at idle when the vehicle is started. This could cause loss of vehicle control. Continued

The U.S. Consumer Protection Safety Commission announced on Wednesday a recall for about 700 Cub Cadet 4×4 EFI Volunteer Utility Vehicles manufactured by MTD, of Brownsville, Tennessee. The utility vehicles could overheat and catch fire. Continued
Polaris ATV Recall Expanded: 2004 Scrambler and Sportsman ATVs Pose Risk of Fire
Polaris Industries, Inc. has expanded a prior ATV recall to add about 700 more Scrambler and Sportsman vehicles from the 2004 model year. Over 95,000 Polaris ATVs have now been recalled due to a defective part that could overheat, posing a risk of fire and burns to riders. Since the last recall expansion in February 2008, Polaris has received additional reports of problems leading to the addition of these vehicles. Continued
