Kugel Hernia Mesh Lawsuit Settlements Reported
At least five Kugel hernia mesh lawsuits have settled according to a report by Lawyers USA, including the case that was scheduled to be the first trial out of more that 2,000 product liability lawsuits pending against the manufacturers of the Kugel patch.
First Kugel Hernia Mesh Lawsuit Scheduled for March 2010 Trial in MDL
Chief Judge Mary M. Lisi, who is presiding over the consolidated Kugel hernia mesh lawsuits that have been centralized in an MDL (Multidistrict Litigation) in the District of Rhode Island, has indicated that the first of four “bellwether” trials will begin in March 2010.
Kugel Hernia Patch Manufacturer Cited for Violations at Puerto Rico Plant
The FDA released a warning letter yesterday that was sent to C.R. Bard, Inc. regarding “adulterated” medical products manufactured at their plant in Puerto Rico, which is where the company manufactures the Kugel Hernia Patch mesh that has been the subject of thousands of lawsuits in the United States.
