Ethex Morphine Lawsuit Filed Over Overdose From Extra Strength Pills
A lawsuit was filed last month in Illinois on behalf of three plaintiffs who allegedly suffered a morphine overdose caused by tablets of generic morphine sulfate manufactured by Ethex Corp, which were recalled last year when it was discovered that tablets may contain more of the drug then they were supposed to.

Ethex Corp. and Ther-Rx Corp., two subsidiaries of KV Pharmaceuticals, have recalled an additional 35 types of drugs following a series of manufacturing problems which have allowed oversized pills to be distributed to consumers.

A stockholder class action lawsuit has been filed against KV Pharmaceutical Company, the parent company of Ethex Corp., which has issued a series of recalls this year as a result of oversized tablets of morphine and other generic drugs.
