GE Dishwasher Recall Issued After Reports of Fires
Reports of fires and property damage have led to the recall of about 1.3 million GE Adora, Eterna, Profile and Hotpoint dishwashers.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the GE dishwasher recall on August 9, after GE Appliances, of Louisville, Kentucky, received at least 15 reports of dishwasher heating element failures.
The defective dishwashers have caused at least seven fires, resulting in extensive property damage in three of the incidents. No injuries have been reported in connection to the dishwasher recall.

Anyone who normally uses the dishwasher should be informed not to use them due to the fire risk.
