OVERVIEW: Revlimid (lenalidomide) is an immunomodulatory agent approved for treatment of a bone marrow disorder known as myelodysplastic syndrome and for multiple myeloma, which is a type of blood cancer.

The FDA originally approved Revlimid in December 2005, and it has been used by about 60,000 people.

REVLIMID STEVENS-JOHNSON SYNDROME SIDE EFFECTS: In September 2008, the FDA confirmed that they are investigating a potential association between Revlimid and Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) or Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN). Post-marketing reports have been received of at least 14 cases of the severe skin reactions associated with Revlimid side effects.

Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis result in a severe rash and blistering of the skin, mouth, eyes and genitals, where the skin literally burns from the inside out. The condition often requires treatment in an ICU or Burn Unit and could be fatal in severe cases.

A number of different medications have been the subject of litigation filed by Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis lawyers, alleging that the drugs did not contain adequate warnings about the possible skin reaction.

Potential lawsuits are being evaluated by Revlimid lawyers as a result of Celgen Corp.’s failure to properly warn about these debilitating and life-threatening problems. After the FDA announced that they were reviewing the association between Revlimid and SJS/TEN, Celgen Corp. indicated that they would likely update the warning label to include information about reports of Stephens-Johnson syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis.

was given revilmid 10 mg per day for folliculler lymphoma,on the 5 month of taking it,heart started acting up,took myself off of it ,although doc got mad that I did not stay on it ,it has now become afib,have never had heart problems in my life

My wife Marie overcame Multiple myeloma and the doctor prescribed Rvlimid to prevent it from coming back. She has been on it for three years, and had a puctured colon and has been on four hospitals, but she dying here at home now. Rvlimid causes the colon to get thin and get punctured. No one told me of the dangerous side effects. No one cared.

dad was given revlimid after a diagnosis of mds. The drug company told me it was a wonder drug. AT $28,000 per month it should be a wonder drug. Well it was a killer drug. He passed away 3 weeks after starting it. Had a stroke and covered with a terrible rash. I’m heartbroken

My husband had non Hodgkin lymphoma and was prescribed revlimed after some chemo it was not long after that his blood work went out of whack and passed away not sure why the Dr thought revlimed would do anything for his lymphoma

Revlimid’s product information on its healthcare provider website also notes that use of this is associated with tumor flare and/or tumor lysis, especially in people with hematological cancers such as lymphoma, like my husband had.. My husband went, in a space of ten days, from a confirmed remission of 6 months to terminal, because of this. The only precautions patients are given is to not become pregnant, handle open capsules, donate sperm or blood. This is ALL our oncologist stressed.

My mother was 80 years old and took one dose of Revlimid and died within 24 hours. We did not have an autopsy but I believe the Revlimid caused a heart attack or pulmonary embolism. She had just finished radiation treatments and I attributed the issues with radiation fatigue. The insert to the medication discussed possible side effects being diarrhea, nausea but not issues with labored breathing. Only after my mother’s death did my sister find unopened mail from the drug company about labored breathing. They should have had the warning on the drug insert because that is what the day nurse and I were checking for possible side effects.

I think it’s time for Justice in the form of true compensation. I mean really proof of Reasonable I mean really proof of Reasonable Doubt comes when the insurance won’t pay for the drug red flag there

my 77 year old mother also died from revlimid , aug 22 2013. She had got to the point using other drugs from having large tumors on spine and other areas to just having 5 small 5mm lymph nodes . after just a few weeks of revilimid she had tumors growing very fast in many areas . Her DR , Kimmie decided to increase double the dose of revlimid even though manufacture said if these symptoms occur it should be discontinued . Within a short few months she went from being able to go out into the yard using her walker to being in hospice and died from all the tumors , especially the ones on her neck that suffocated her . After revlimid she had lots of new tumors in places that she never had before .

My mother died 6 months ago after the use of this drug. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in her left leg. I read that this drug causes cancer to show up in other areas which I believed that is what happened to my mom. I read that the FDA is now investigating these facts, buy allowing this poison to be administered to people.
