About 1.2 million Sport Cap 2.0 water bottle spouts have been recalled due to product defects that can lead to the spouts cracking and breaking, posing a choking hazard.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada announced the water bottle spout recall on Wednesday after Klean Kanteen Inc., the manufacturer, received six reports of the water bottle spouts breaking in children’s mouths as they were drinking. There were no reports of injuries related to the defective water bottles.
The recall affects Klean Kanteen Sports Cap 2.0 water bottle spouts, including about 1.2 million in the U.S. and 102,000 in Canada. The spouts are made of black polypropylene plastic, have an attachment loop, and have “Klean Kanteen” stamped onto the side of the cap. The recall is limited to spouts with a shiny finish. Those with a dull finish are not included in the recall.

I have been contacted by LLbean about the recall. I bought a water bottle from them last year. So I guess I need a new spout due to the recall. Thanks
