Nearly 6 Million Contigo Kid’s Water Bottles Recalled Due To Choking Hazard

About 6 million Contigo Kid’s water bottles are being recalled following nearly 150 reports of the spouts detaching, which may place children at risk of choking.

The Contigo Kid’s water bottle recall was announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on August 27, warning that the water bottle’s clear silicone spout can detach, and pose a hazard for children.

Although there have been a large number of reports involving problems, including at least 18 incidents where the spouts were found in children’s mouths, there have been no reports of injuries to date.
