Dupixent Cancer Lawsuit Alleges Eczema Treatment Accelerated Cutaneous T-Cell LymphomaLawsuit claims injections caused a rash to spread over more than 80% of man’s body, leaving him with permanent injuries and disability. November 6, 2026 Irvin Jackson Add Your CommentsA former user of Dupixent has filed a product liability lawsuit against its manufacturers, alleging the eczema drug was responsible for him developing a rare form of cancer. The complaint (PDF) was brought by Dominic M. Homac in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida on October 23, naming Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. as the defendants.Homac says he was prescribed Dupixent in July 2023 and only received the injections until September of that year. However, he indicates that was enough exposure to cause him to develop even worse rashes and stage 3 cancer.Dupixent Cancer RisksDupixent (dupilumab) was first approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for sale in the U.S. in 2017. Originally approved for the treatment of severe atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema, the manufacturers later convinced the FDA to expand the medicationโs uses to include several other inflammatory conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and more. These approvals pushed Dupixent quickly into blockbuster status, bringing in about $17.6 billion in global revenue in 2025, with quarterly sales of nearly $6 billion so far in 2026.Concerns about the drugโs links to cancer arose following studies in recent years linking Dupixent side effects to some forms of t-cell lymphoma, primarily a rare form of skin cancer known as cutaneous t-cell lymphoma (CTCL). Health experts warn CTCL can potentially be missed in its early stages because it resembles the very skin conditions Dupixent is often used to treat. These findings have led to individuals filing Dupixent cancer lawsuits in courts nationwide. All of the complaints involve similar claims that the manufacturers failed to provide adequate warning to patients and the medical community about the cancer risks. They allege that the proper warning labels would have led to doctors using another treatment or close monitoring to detect the development of CTCL in its earliest stages.dupixent LawsuitDIAGNOSED WITH LYMPHOMA AFTER Receiving DUPIXENT?Lawsuits are being investigated for patients prescribed Dupixent (dupilumab) who were later diagnosed with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). Settlement benefits may be available.Learn MoreSEE IF YOU QUALIFY FOR COMPENSATIONDupixent Rash AllegationsAccording to the lawsuit, Homac, of Florida, was 64 when he was diagnosed with dermatitis in early 2023, after developing an itchy, red, flaking rash on his hands and arms. His doctor determined he was suffering from chronic spongiotic dermatitis and put him on Dupixent injections in July 2023.The lawsuit indicates Homac received 300 mg injections of Dupixent every two weeks. By mid-August, it was apparent that the medication was not working. In fact, the problem appeared to be getting worse.โAfter brief improvement following his initial doses, Plaintiffโs skin condition worsened while he was using Dupixent. By August 18, 2023, approximately six weeks after his first injection, Plaintiffโs dermatologist documented a rash distributed throughout his body with clinical findings consistent with erythroderma. By September 7, 2023, Plaintiffโs rash was worsening and spreading, he had generalized bright red erythema with shedding scale throughout his body, and his dermatologist discontinued Dupixent.โ– Dominic M. Homac v. Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC et al.Doctors suspected Homac had developed mycosis fungoides, the most common form of CTCL, on September 7, 2023, after the Dupixent injections stopped. The rash proceeded to cover 80 to 90 percent of his body.CTCL Cancer Treatment Side EffectsCancer was confirmed in November 2024 after additional testing, leading to a Stage IIIB CTCL/evolving Sezary syndrome diagnosis. This is an even rarer form of CTCL, and is known to be aggressive and fast-spreading, impacting not only the skin, but the blood and lymph nodes as well.Homac had to endure a battery of cancer treatments, including topical corticosteroids, extracorporeal photopheresis and the anti-lymphoma drug Poteligeo. Side effects from the harsh treatments allegedly resulted in serious complications. These included heart failure linked to Poteligeo side effects that led to hospitalization in October 2025, and a severe rash that led to Homac being hospitalized in November 2025.The lawsuit states that Homac continues to suffer severe pain, disability and medical expenses, and now requires nursing care and medical monitoring for the rest of his life.Homac presents claims of failure to warn, negligence, breach of post-market duty to warn, negligent misrepresentation, breach of warranty and violation of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. He seeks both compensatory and punitive damages.Dupixent Cancer LawsuitsThe complaint will be consolidated with similar federal Dupixent cancer lawsuits before U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Qurashi in the District of New Jersey, where the judge will guide the litigation through coordinated discovery and pretrial proceedings. This will likely lead to a series of early โbellwetherโ trials, which would place representative CTCL claims before a jury to see how arguments and evidence common throughout the litigation hold up under legal scrutiny. The manufacturers already face nearly 40 such claims, and that number is anticipated to continue increasing over the coming months and years, as more Dupixent users are diagnosed with CTCL or discover the potential link between previous cancer diagnoses and Dupixent use.The results of the bellwether trials, although not binding on any other claims, could give attorneys a foundation for negotiating a settlement agreement. If that fails, and no other resolutions are found, Homacโs complaint, and those of other Dupixent lawsuit plaintiffs, would be remanded back to their originating court districts for individual trials.Sign up for more legal news that could affect you or your family.
