Globe Bicycle Recall Issued Due to Risk of Breaking Forks

A recall has been issued for an estimated 12,000 specialized bicycle components that were imported from China, due to reports of the faulty front forks breaking, which could pose a fall and injury hazards to riders.

The Specialized bicycle components voluntary recall was announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on September 25, after at least four reports of the front forks breaking, resulting in facial fractures, head and shoulder injuries, and cuts.

The recall consists of the following brands sold in various colors with the name “Specialized” written on the lower frame tube.
