Little Bay Baking Corn Bread and Muffin Mix Recall: Risk of Allergic Reaction to Soy

A nationwide recall has been issued for Little Bay Baking Corn Bread and Muffin Mix, which may contain undeclared soy. Individuals who have an allergy or sensitivity to soy could suffer severe or life-threatening allergic reactions if they eat these products. The corn bread and muffin mix was sold under the brand names “Little Bay Baking” and “GFCFDiet” in 12.6 ounce white paper tin tie bag packages.

The Corn Bread and Muffin Mix recall was issued after Little Bay Baking Company of Newmarket, New Hanpshire disclosed that they had discovered that a breakdown in their ordering processes caused traces of soy to be found in the mixes. The packaging does not indicate that the products contain soy
