Fisher-Price Brunch & Go Stroller Toy Recall Issued Due to Choking Risks: CPSC

Federal safety officials are urging parents to stop using Fisher-Price Brunch & Go stroller toys, following reports of incidents where the toy broke and caused small plastic pieces to fall into strollers, including at least two cases where infants ended up with small parts in their mouths, posing a serious choking hazard.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the Fisher-Price Brunch & Go Stroller Toy recall on April 10, advising parents and caregivers to immediately stop using the products and to contact Fisher-Price for a replacement.

The Brunch & Go stroller toys are designed to entertain and engage infants during stroller rides or playtime at home. The recalled toy includes a tomato mirror, crinkle bacon strip, and teethers shaped like avocado toast and a fried egg. 

According to the CPSC, the yolk on the egg teether can crack and break into small pieces, which could become lodged in an infant’s throat, creating a suffocation and choking hazard.

While no injuries have been reported, Fisher-Price is recalling approximately 253,000 stroller toys in the U.S. and an additional 4,500 in Canada.

The recall specifically involves the Brunch & Go Stroller Toy with model number HGB85, which is printed on the tag attached to the toast.

The toys were manufactured in China and Vietnam, and sold for about $13 at Hobby Lobby, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Marshalls, Nordstrom, Ross, TJMaxx and Walmart stores nationwide, as well as online at Amazon.com, from February 2022 through March 2025.

Consumers are instructed to permanently mark the egg component of the stroller with the word “Recall” and the unique identifier, then upload a photo of the marked toy at https://service.mattel.com/us/recall.aspx. Fisher-Price will send a free replacement stroller toy. Customers should dispose of the recalled product upon receiving a replacement confirmation email.

Fisher-Price is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Over the past years, Fisher-Price has faced numerous recalls and lawsuits due to safety concerns involving their infant products.

In October 2024, the company recalled 2.1 million Snuga baby swings following five infant suffocation deaths linked to using the product for sleep or when additional bedding material was added.

Three months earlier, Fisher-Price reached a $19 million settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit over its Rock ‘n Play Sleeper product, which was linked to more than 100 infant suffocation deaths due to its allegedly faulty design.
