Office Depot Chair Recall Issued Amid Reports of Seat Plate Weld Braking

About 300,000 office chairs sold exclusively by Office Depot have been recalled due to a risk that the seat plate weld may break, causing individuals fall and suffer an injury.

The Office Depot Crawley II Executive chairs recall was announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on January 7, following at least eight reports of problems. However, Office Depot and the CPSC are not aware of any injuries from the office chairs to date.

Customers are being asked to stop using the recalled office chairs immediately to avoid the risk of injuries from falls.
