Terrible joint pain & she can’t even function. Heavy chest/panic attacks, It’s ruining her life. The pain doesn’t even ease up in her body. She can barely get in/out of bed. She was sooo strong before this shot! Doc said other patients had success with it and it couldn’t be the shot 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Now I found about 100 horrible reviews online like this but couple years old & no one answered me. Her office called and cancelled her next appointment because they said her doc left the state & they can’t get new one in for her that day & will call back when they can get her in! That was weeks ago. We call & call to see if any updates/cancellation but nothing.. We live in WV so not many docs here & all seem clueless. Can anyone PLEASE help her & advise what to do? Pain pills aren’t helping & she’s going to destroy her stomach w/ them, she’s in so much pain. She shakes all over, Hospitals send her home. The doc says try something new but she goes home & NOTHING HELPS. We have no docs here who have any understanding of this. PLEASE tell me how to help her. She’s in constant misery & she’s toughest person I know. I’ve never seen her sick until now 😫🙏❤️ she’s in 70’s—how much longer will she hurt? It’s been weeks. Prob 3 miserable months. She said she’d rather be dead than get this shot again. I’m really scared guys. She never complains of pain until this. Thx in advance for any input. I can’t get her off heating pad & she has burns but don’t care she’s so miserable 🥲 I’m so scared.

  I too was extremely active and was told after a dexascan that I had osteopenia and was told that I needed to take Prolia in 2023.I got my second shot in November 2023 and I plan on stopping it! I get short breath when I try to do the exercises I once did. If I continue the exercise I have excruciating pain in groin and back . I can’t believe how fast my body did a decline . I decided to go with the products recommended by others on this website. Three years later I have come back to say that I had a new bone density test and my osteoporosis has improved 2%. I can't believe this drug is still bein[Show More]I posted on page 12 in 2021. Whilst waiting for Prolia to be injected I had the time to read enough reviews that changed my mind. I informed my doctor what I had discovered. I decided to go with the products recommended by others on this website. Three years later I have come back to say that I had a new bone density test and my osteoporosis has improved 2%. I can't believe this drug is still being sold. "Vitamin D and Caltrate alone is not enough to fight osteoporosis. To absorb these products effectively bones also needs Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Magnesium and Collagen." COLLAGEN IS THE STEEL FRAME CALCIUM IS THE CEMENT.

  My mother was given Prolia and has had pain and swelling in her jaw. The bone is deteriorating. It is ongoing with many procedures and monitoring by an Oral surgeon and a periodontist. So, I went back to my G.P. to let him know of my symptoms but he didn't believe it was the side effects of prolia. So, sometime after that, I received the shot. Now, I am suffering from constant aches and pains including daily headaches. I used to walk 1-2 miles a day but no longer now.(having groin pains). I also suffer from insomnia due to hip,back, pelvic and leg pains .I am a healthy 71 year-old without any comorbidities and don't take any medications. How on earth is prolia still in the market? And how are some doctors continue to do us harm? Please follow up with me. I need answers.

  Had to have my teeth removed because of paroleia it cost $9,000 I had to have surgery anesthesia was told I could lose my job bone or my life now I'm trying to get dentures it's very little jawbone

This has caused me discomfort and extreme embarrassment of bad and missing teeth, don’t smile and hide my mouth when I laugh. I’ve been advised not to stop injections as it might cause fractures. What a bunch of bull shit. I feel I deserve some type of settlement so I can afford dental implants. Pharmacological company’s should take responsibility and pay for problems their drug causes. Prolix has been on the market for about 10 years. I don’t believe I’m the only person having these issues, after reading some of the testimonials several have had dental problems. Amgen failed to inform physicians and the public that problems were occurring. Still nothing was done to stop production as it was such a money-maker. Prolia injections are around 2 thousands dollars each and recommended 2 times yearly. I would certainly like you to consider my case in a lawsuit.

  I took my first injection of Prolia in April 2021, I had severe bone pain immediately and then my Achilles tendons started hurting. I tested and all but the Achilles tendons became better. Second injection was in Oct 2021. After the second injection I could barely walk. During the rest of ‘21 I had a horrible rash, urinary retention, severe constipation, thigh pain, joint, muscle and nerve pain. During the of ‘22 o went through dozens of injections and epidurals because I thought my discs were causing the numbness, pain and tingling in my legs. Dec of ‘22 I had my fist back surgery followed by two more in ‘23. Instead of helping everything became worse. In Dec of ‘23 I decided it was time to see a neurologist. I have femoral damage in both legs. I’ve no doubt that this nerve damage as well as all of the other issues I started and continue to have are due to the Prolia! My Rheumatologist just laughs at me when I mention it. My PCP agrees with me and I’ll be bringing it up at my next appointment with the neurologist.

  I took four injections of Prolia and had to stop since I had in infection in my implant and it had to be removed. I was put on miacalcin. Several months later I had extreme pain in my back and had a X-ray,MRI and nuclear scan .I found out that I had a compression fracture with six broken bones. I was in extreme pain for two months. I’ve been wearing a brace since.

  I had been taking Prolia since 2014 ! I recently found out in both my jaw joints i have a kind of arthritis that most often is caused by Prolia !! Right is severe left is moderate ! Should of been told to do cat scan every couple years . Apparently it is more common then i knew ! I thought it was only for dental work. Very painful and my face swells !   Drug companies, doctors and therapists keep pushing drugs instead of fixing root cause and prevention. A healthy diet whole foods, fresh fruits & vegetables and meat and eliminating smoking alcohol sugar and processed food helps most in prevention of diseases. But drug companies and doctors will go out of business. Prolia has destroyed my mobility and my life.

  Had first Prolea shot a month ago. Severe back pain, sore throat and severe flu symptoms ever since I got the shot. Can't walk..Cannot get out of bed....I am suing those bastards...and the hospital. I never saw the reactions this poison has caused. Amen will not give me a deadline about these awful side effects. Oh and diarreah also. There is a better way. Estrogen

I had a major mouth/bone infection last year that I thought was due to bone pieces after an extraction and I ended up being deathly ill for almost 4 months because my immune system became sooo low with the mouth infection that I caught almost every illness that was floating around between Sept 2022 to December 2022, including Covid being the last illness I caught, and I am only now realizing that this is more than likely due to my long use of prolia. I am sooo upset right now! I need to pass all this information onto my Dr because I'm sure he has no idea why I got sooo sick last year... I am beyond ticked off! I'm supposed to go for another injection this coming Tuesday October 17 2023 but after learning all of this, obviously I will be re-discussing everything that has happened over the last year with my Dr and NOT letting him inject me incase it was all due to the prolia. ** However, I've had severe Osteoporosis (with a T-Score that was sooo low that it was lower than the last color on the Bone density chart) since the age of 27 and I will be 63 in 6 days, so what I'd love to know is, is there another alternative bone medication that people are now taking if no longer taking the prolia? ** In the past I've taken almost every Osteoporosis medication since the late 80's including Forteo for 2 years and after the Forteo it was Actonel and then on to the prolia. And since I desperately need to take something for my bones so I don't end up with another spinal fracture and surgery, I really want to know what I can take next? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Also, are any of you following up with the supposed lawsuit and/or do you know if it is a class action lawsuit?   I was using Prolia for 4 years , but I had to stop because of the terrible side effects. As a result , I suffered 7 Spine fractures and now a lot of pain in my thighs and femur . I lost a few teeth. I’m in so much pain and suffering ! I didn’t know about those terrible side effect , not even medical providers told me ! Please , contact me asap . Thank you so much.

  I’m 43yo male. 6-7 years ago I had non traumatic t4-7 vertebrae collapse. Earlier this year I had a dexa scan which showed L-1 t-score and z-score and was -4.3 and -4.2. I had my first prolia shot 4 weeks ago. About an hour after I had it I started hurting. By the next day every joint and bone in my body was killing me.   I was diagnosed with early onset osteoporosis in my 40's. After about 12 years on Fosomax and 4+ on Prolia, I had necrotic bone in my jaw, then two months later I fell and broke my femur. Since Prolia is given at the Dr. office 2x per year, I never saw any warning labels. I seemed to have NO side effects, until I did. The whole thing was so traumatic. Since Prolia is given at the Dr. office 2x per year, I never saw any warning labels. I seemed to have NO side effects, until I did. The whole thing was so traumatic. The surgeon, who repaired the femur, said that my bone was "spongy". The attachment at the hip is askew, as it was hard to get a good connection. I continue to have hip and bone pain and spend a lot or money on PT, massages, and Pilates, to keep me as healthy as possible. I'll never take these drugs again, but I still have osteoporosis.

Recommended prollia for my bones, I took 3 injections .I started with severe hip pain knees, and fatigue and more after 3 rd shot my immune system shut down and some how I touched something and hand to.face I got C-diff after severe bounts of diarrhea for several days with nothing stopping it I lost the ability to walk , my muscles did work went to.ER were I was transport to hospital spent 18.days . It impacted my heart liver kidneys and Gi tract. .CDC doctors all kinds went home on all kinds of meds 7 Mos later spent 8 more days in hospital. Had sever infection in intestines and such more meds . I will never take it again the pain it caused me and money they need to.shut it down.

  I have Gerd, IBS, and gluten sensitivity, wt. loss, ? malabsorption and diagnosed with osteoporosis. I could not tolerate Fosamax so I was told to take Prolia on July 25, 2023. I will not be taking this shot again due to the side affects itching, constipation, appetite change, urinary urgency, ? diarrhea, and muscle fatigue.

  I have jawbone pain, pain in all joints. I was never told of any side effects. The Endo consult was around 5 minutes and has been each time. Any concerns have been dismissed.

  I'm coming up for my 4th injection. Never been on so many pain killers. Feel like I can't even walk without Endone or Panadeine Forte. Pain eye trouble loss of appetite constipation from pain killers. Depression anxiety.

  Was on Fosamax, then changed to Boniva... worsening dexa scan. Placed on Prolia for about 4-5 years. Had to have lower teeth extracted. Suffering recurring jaw infection over the past year. Dentist alternating oral antibiotics 1-2 week intervals. Infection now back 4th time.

  I just stopped taking it. Dr told me I would have broken bones all over. My bones are not that fragile. And I hate Fear Medicine. I have fallen a few times recently, never broken a bone in my life. Recently had a big oral surgery because I had grown a sharp, pointy piece of bone coming out of the side if my gum, under the back bottom tooth. Was a horrible experience. Seriously hate going to the dentist….and this crap has been going on since Jan. Told the endocrinologist that I wanted to switch to Fosomax which I took previously with no problems. But drs like to prescribe the new drugs. We get to be an experiment for them. I am no longer willing. The old drugs work better. She tells me it causes the same problems. I don’t believe her. And I do not believe I matter to her at all. It is not about concern for me. I believe when Drs push the new drugs, it is beneficial to them. Not you.

The next day I was sitting on the sofa when I suddenly experienced excruciating pain on the side of my right leg -followed by pain in left hand thumb area - left arm above elbow and in my right knee. From that day to the present 7/22/2023, I have continued to have pain in my bones, joints, muscles coupled with excessive itching overall. Currently experiencing continuing & worsening neuropathy, burning sensations, etc. My hands, legs & feet are painful & weakening; thus my mobility is fast becoming problematic. The sad part is that neither of my long-standing doctors believe Prolia to be the culprit. Last year I developed dental issues - teeth holding bridge fell out - Eye issues, etc. Can only imagine how much better my life would be if Prolia had not entered!

My hips were hurting so bad I couldn’t sleep . I was running a temp also. My partial won’t fit ,my left side of face sags, my teeth are big problem ! Have trouble swallowing now. I am weak, cant lift a gallon of tea. The Dr wanted me to try a different injection but I gave it thought and decided no more . I will take my chances on brittle bones. My teeth are my big worry and my jawbone as they recently began ! I have told everyone I know not to take this poison drug!

I had a cause of action against my physician, but not against the manufacturer. I suspect it's the same in the USA. Scandalous.

  I was prescribed Prolia injections in early 2022. I have had 2. So not let a GYN prescribe this without sending you to an endocrinologist first. My GYN was told that I have mild hypercalcemia. This injection has caused my blood calcium and urine calcium to skyrocket to where I am being advised to have parathyroid surgery. My risk of fracture has increased with Prolia.   I took Prolia 7/19/22. Never knew I even got the shot. I got the second one on 1/23/23. Never ever again. The side effects are like a death sentence.   DO NOT TAKE PROLIA. My doctor wanted me to take the shots because of brittle bone syndrome and osteoporosis. To make a long story short I ended with a severe infection in my jaw my teeth chipped and broke off. Had to go into emergency surgery and had my right jaw removed now have titanium plate for a jaw. I talk funny and look weird, people can’t understand me.

  IMO, the real risk is Medication-related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw. The damage to my jaw is irreversible and there is a high likelihood that a surgical repair could cause further damage.

I had no clue that thigh bone fractures was one of the uncommon side effects from Prolia until my sister who is a nurse told me after my surgery. Television ads promoting an annual injection to control cholesterol (sounds as dangerous as Prolia), a new drug for bone loss is being advertised. It's just another Prolia with a different name. Amgen has severely harmed me.

My spine surgeon was very upset with me when I refused to continue this injectable and my rheumatologist gave me Fosamax. The spine surgeon will not operate on my spine until I have completed one year of Fosamax which is very upsetting. Alterations in the color and texture of the skin on my limbs make them susceptible to injury and bruises. I feel like I have lost 10 years of my life and become elderly overnight due to this drug.

You can get 2nd opinion or change Drs,you get2 or3 estimates from companies before work done on home repairs,your body is more precious .There ARE good physicians out there who won't pressure you to do something not comfortable with & take time to talk with you. Bottom line It's YOUR decision & YOUR body not theirs.

I have to resort to using a cane to walk any distance at all. I have so much pain I can't sleep. Before prolia I was doing 5km on a bike each day. Now I can't even walk around my own house. I have lost 3 teeth, major cavities, my dentist asked me to talk to doctor regarding cavities, she couldn’t understand as I had never had cavities in the past. Bone loss around teeth. Also developed excema, excruciating leg and hip pain. Pre-cancerous cells, had to have laser treatment to remove. My health has been horrible since. Prior to Prolia I did yoga daily but slowly I could do less and less if it until I could not get down on the floor to do it. It has wrecked my life and continue to struggle even after being off Prolia for 2 years. My health is improving slowly and hope it continues

As months passed on I saw my primary doctor again and told her of the trouble breathing but the pain in my arm and shoulder was worsening and I didn't go back to do the six month follow up injection because I didn't it took all that time to even find out what I had been injected with when his office called me to schedule a six month injection I said I was told the drug was every six months. And when I asked for the name of that drug only then was I told it was prolia.   I had 3 shots given 6months apart .After experiencing horrible pain and schingbon my bones I stopped getting the shots. Within 2 months I experienced 3 fractures in my spine .. This drug is very dangerous. It should be taken off the market

Did not see a doctor due to being the height of the pandemic. On May 29th, 2020 while strolling at my neighborhood park, a small child on a bike hit me from the backside. This drug should have never been approved by the FDA.

  My name is Milagros. I was one of the many patients who was prescribed Prolia for Osteoporosis. Ironically enough, I started my treatment for osteoporosis with Reclast drip in late 2013. . My yearly DEXA scan showed a slow but steady improvement over the next five years. In 2015, we moved to Florida and our new primary care physician continued to prescribe Reclast drip. Again the DEXA scans conti[Show More]My name is Milagros. I was one of the many patients who was prescribed Prolia for Osteoporosis. Ironically enough, I started my treatment for osteoporosis with Reclast drip in late 2013. . My yearly DEXA scan showed a slow but steady improvement over the next five years. In 2015, we moved to Florida and our new primary care physician continued to prescribe Reclast drip. Again the DEXA scans continued to show improvement at a steady pace. In late 2018 our doctor changes my treatment from Reclast to Prolia. I asked why the change and he answered that Prolia is taken from a part of the pig, and it is much safer than a synthetic medication and the DEXA scan results show much better numbers than Reclast. This could not be farther from the truth. The DEXA scans showed minimal positive results but the adverse results from Prolia could not be measured in numbers. Within 1 year I started to have dental problems. It’s noteworthy to mention that my visits to the dentist before Prolia included a cleaning and X-rays that showed no cavities along with a sparkling smile. Prolia has destroyed my jawbone. My teeth are either falling out. Rotting out or breaking off in my mouth causing some teeth to be broken down to the gum. Prolia has also caused a recess in my gums that are abnormal at best. I have found a dentist who is knowledgeable in what Prolia is doing to people. He has sent my saliva to be tested to see to what degree Prolia is a factor. He knows that Prolia is the cause because my teeth were in perfect health before starting on Prolia. He also gave me a prescription for bloodwork and took a CT scan to examine my jawbone to see if I have a chance to have dental implants. It does not look promising because of the destruction that Prolia has already caused. I am left with my Faith which for me is the most important factor. What is hopeless for man is possible with God. The dentist I have now is a small miracle since 4 dentists had no idea what Prolia was let alone know that it is causing severe problems. Some dentists are aware of this but are not proceeding with a dental program that includes Prolias effect on the teeth and jawbone and in turn not looking at the other health issues that arise from a Prolia infection that causes bacterias that have caused heart attacks. Strokes and many other health issues. Our new dentist has gone so far as to say that I should make sure I wear a mask when I am with people since any saliva transferred from me to another person will likely transfer the bacteria to them. There must be something done to hold Amgen the manufacturer of Prolia liable for the suffering of so many people, who were trying to control their osteoporosis finding that osteoporosis may be the least of their problems. I pray for healing for everyone suffering as I am and I hope and pray that Prolia and its disastrous effects on the human body will be brought to the light, more than an article on a website. There is too much suffering with very little being done to put peoples minds at ease. Stay strong because every person who is suffering needs to stand up and be counted. Thank you and Godspeed!!!!

  I have been on Prolia for 5 years. Two years ago I developed a rash on my lower legs after receiving a shot. It would start to clear in 5 month then after the shot again it would flare up. I just got my shot again and my whole body is covered with Eczema and sores. I showed it to my Oncologist a years ago thinking it could be from Prolia shot. This was from a Mayo Clinic trained Dermatologist. She stated I have a severe allergic reaction to the Prolia shot. I am in pure itchy agony. My retina detached last October, I have ringing in the ears, leg cramps, hip pain. Now how do I go off of this drug. This drug should have never gotten approved.

This is not listed as a side effect but I did read online chats that mentioned kidney function issues. Hair loss was significant. I now believe I am having bone loss in my jaw after extensive research. All the teeth in my mouth are starting this deterioration process. Never wanted dentures.   Got first and only shot Sept. 29 2021. Next day my rt. arm was killing me from my elbow to my hand! Pain killers did not help! After 2 weeks I contacted my PCP. and than saw him. He said now more shots for me, because of bad side affects. After 2 weeks pain went to my right shoulder all the way to my hand. Has been 5 1/2. Weeks. Still have problems with my arm.   Yesterday my oncologist had me stop Prolia when I complained of jaw pain. I see several people talking about shortness of breath. I also had a severe problem with that, and numerous tests could not answer why. I need an x-ray soon to see if jaw necrosis has set in.

Since then I had 2 x pneumonia, have to use my oxygen all day and can't hardly do my cleaning any more. Now I'm afraid to do much of anything, I don't want the pain again, think I've had just about enough. I was not informed about any of these side affects.

  Took several injections and subsequently my left femur snapped in two. I was standing and simply took a step forward on that leg and the bone snapped. There was no previous injury or trauma to the leg.

  Took 3 Prolia injections with no side effects UNTIL I stop taking them. I had two compression fractures before I took it now I have a total of eight. I would like to put the Amgen Company up against a firing squad. I will be the first to show up in court when this ever makes it. If I die from my body crumbling in the meantime my three kids will be there!

To absorb these products effectively bones also needs Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Magnesium and Collagen. All these items can be found in various Ostelin products which I will definitely invest in. My father had two injections. After the second one, he could hardly breath I had to take him into the closest "Urgent Care". Within a few months all his top teeth melted away. Within 6 months his femur, the largest bone in the body, fractured from simple body weight. He slowly recovered from that but it had a lingering negative impact on his body. He was weaker, become dizzy, etc. Then he fractured his ribs when he leaned over at the sideof the bed in order to put his shoes on. The medical establishment is blinded by their own profession believing that "modern medicine" develops wonderful new treatments that help people when it's all the opposite. What they don't tell you about Prolia is that it actually, in very basic terms, stops the recalcification of the bones. Since the bones are throughout one's life continuously demineralizing and remineralizing, guess what happens when a drug interferes and effectively stops the remineralizing part. That's right, fractures. It also operates through the protein synthesis in the body, so you can only wonder what further damage occurs. So why is it even on the market. The FDA is effectively in bed with the pharmaceutical industry. You will have people who have worked at the FDA go to work for the pharmaceutical companies, so it's ripe for conflicts of interest. You might read that they have a "vigorous" approval process and it's all based on "science" and studies. Then you have to ask whose science is being used. And are studies ultimately funded by pharmaceutical companies, or universities that receive funding from the same. Something isn't right here, but how can it be addressed. The problem is that there is so much money in the pharmaceutical industry that they take any lawsuits into account and hope to rake in more money before there are any or too many lawsuits. Plus, with a drug like Prolia that is targeted to the elderly, they often don't understand what is happening to them, don't make the connection or are just too tired or in cognitive decline that prevents them from speaking up and making it an issue. The whole thing is just so despicable.

  I had a bone density checkup my oncologist gave me a shot did not know what it was and several days later my left side locked up and I fell off the bed two days later my whole body locked up and I fell off the bed and hit my head my husband said I was talking “out of my head” rescue and ambulance were called the Paramedic asked my husband what had the doctor given me and he said “Prolia” and the P[Show More]I had a bone density checkup my oncologist gave me a shot did not know what it was and several days later my left side locked up and I fell off the bed two days later my whole body locked up and I fell off the bed and hit my head my husband said I was talking “out of my head” rescue and ambulance were called the Paramedic asked my husband what had the doctor given me and he said “Prolia” and the Paramedic said let’s roll NOW I passed out and came to in the hospital with IV everywhere I was in there a week and then 10 days of home health care with 10 IV I slept so much I couldn’t function my feet and hands stayed numb. My oncologist had not given me any instructions or what to expect. When I went back for my checkup several months later all I could say was “why did you try to kill me”. He said nothing I had to go to my urologist and had surgery done to remove all the gunk from my urinary system. I am now being treated by my family physician. I am taking calcium B12 and D3 and meds for my nerves I have pain and I sleep a lot. My doctor is doing extensive blood work. I am 78 years old. I am an accountant and a Deputy Coroner. I live on faith and prayer and my trusted regular doctor. My Oncologist has not been any assistance and all he did was make me an appointment in 6 months. He is in touch with records he provided on my shot but he seemed to think it would go out of my system after 6 months it hasn’t I took shot in November 2020.

  I have been urged to take Prolia because Boniva did not work for me. It caused such severe pain, that I could not walk, so I stopped after my first dose, then my doctor suggested Prolia because I argued with him about the Boniva, and he didnot want to believe me. Because of his behavior and what i have read, I am uncertain about getting my first shot for my spine deterioration which is bad. I h[Show More]I have been urged to take Prolia because Boniva did not work for me. It caused such severe pain, that I could not walk, so I stopped after my first dose, then my doctor suggested Prolia because I argued with him about the Boniva, and he didnot want to believe me. Because of his behavior and what i have read, I am uncertain about getting my first shot for my spine deterioration which is bad. I have back pain now, but it is minor without the shot, I don't want it to increase increase my problems. Oh and by the way, he never mentioned the side effects of the Boniva either, and He has not mentioned the side effects of Prolia, only my OB has mentioned them and she told me that I could possibly have the same side effects as I had with the Boniva. So, at this point I don't know, but I know of at least 3 people who take it and they are fine, but they could not take the Fosamax or the Boniva, it made them sick. All I know is, I don't want to feel like that again.

Is there a place we can go to with more information? It appears to be dangerous to take this drug, and extremely dangerous to get off of it. I should have stayed with my instinct - not to take this medicine. My doctor talked me into it.

  I got my first shot 3/2/2021!! I'm only 51 feel like i'm going to DIE!!!!! I'm having a hard time walking due to the extreme pain in my left foot. My left elbow & shoulder are also killing me. My neck & jaw are in constant pain!!! I have had two UTI'S in the last month. My vison is in and out and I'm about to lose my mind!! I will not be getting the second shot. I

  I am 74. Had 5th prolia injection Feb 2021. Bone density in December said my bones improved. The only unusual happenings I thought might be Prolia related is that my big tonail cracked and came off twice in last two years. I am scared now after reading all the possible bad side effects.

I will go to my grave knowing Prolia did this to me. Once a very active 62 year old, now getting out of bed is a chore.

  I have had two injections. Don't want another one but scared not to and scared to have it. I can hardly use my hands now. They hurt so badly. My wrists hurt too. I just thought surgery and radiation were bad for breast cancer that was a breeze compared to how I feel now.

Not that I am discounting anyone's story here (Everyone is different and sometimes bad reactions do happen) but it just seems that on every review website (no matter the drug), there is almost never a positive review of ANY drug! I have been taking Prolia for 6 years now and have had no side effects. Perhaps I am just fortunate but I do know I was trying to fight advanced osteoporosis (for decades even before being diagnosed with it) by taking extra calcium, vitamin d, exercise and all the rest, but to no avail. I never smoked and don't drink alcohol. My mother had advanced osteoporosis and apparently in my case it's genetic. You can't alter your genetics. With this in mind, I decided I needed to do something to combat osteoporosis. Sorry for all the negative things here that people list as having happened to them taking Prolia (everything from soup to nuts), but since other things did not work for me, I will stick with Prolia, at least for now. I do worry about getting my next injection with Covid raging, but it looks like Covid will continue raging for quite some time to come.

Believe me, he will be there when I go again in March to tell my doctor "no more," echoing my feelings. I need to know what best practice is to follow cessation of Prolia? No one seems to be more than vaguely recommending a bisphosphonate. I am at once anxious to avoid rebound fractures, and fearful of ANY OTHER chemical bone density-altering drug, for the same reason I am afraid of Prolia! I would like to hear if there is a class-action lawsuit as well. Sign me on!

  I had my first shot July 6th and now my hip pain is awful. I'm used to walking over a mile every day. Now I can't walk 10 minutes without being in pain. Walking is good for the bones but I can't do much of it anymore. I've had two back fractures and feel like others, where do I go from here?

  I had my first prolia injection six months ago. I was NOT told of the risk of spinal fractures if you go off it. I had two compression fractures from falls 12 years ago, so now I am terrified that if I go off prolia I will suffer more spinal fractures. I want to go off it because I have had increased joint pain since I started on it, but now I feel trapped.

  I was on Prolia for four years, Just three months after stopping this medication I developed two compression fractures, I have been in a back brace for six months, the structure of my spine is permanently changed, The pain has been excruciating. This drug Needs to be taken off the market, no person Should ever go through this nightmare

  I have been on Prolia for 10 years I never noticed any side effects till I had dental implants it’s been 2years and have nothing but problems in my mouth sores bone pain in mouth it’s like an allergic reaction burning numbing tingling tongue has constantly welts been on steroids and 600 msg of gabapentin ..

There was numbness in my hands and dizzy spells at home and work. Some day i would call in because i couldnt even stand up with the pain in my feet and legs. There was stabbing pain in my ribs at anytime, for no apparent reason. This is crazy. This should be taken off the market.

The Dr tried to convince me it is not the Prolia. No way. Tylenol or Aleve doesn't give relief. I have called FDA and filed a report. Walking with a cane for balance. No more injections.

Also went to Ortho Neuro for arms, had exrays, sent for therapy.After one session ,every thing shut down ,because of virus.Couldn’t have hand operated on,but he gave me a shot in the wrist, which helped plus Gabapentin.from family doctor.I’m still having problems after almost a year.Was never told of side effects,but knew the Prolia shot is the cause of all the pain I’ve had.I was a healthy woman of 83 years old ,on record as seeing my doctor for a sinus infection once a year. I will not ever take the shot again, and believe that a shot that was supposed to help, caused me the most pain I’ve ever had in my life.I would like to be informed if there is a lawsuit in the future.

The drug caused a substantial rise in my cholesterol, so I went on a vegan diet and was able to lower it somewhat. I do not want to continue taking this drug, will be telling my doctor I’m discontinuing it before my next injection. I never had Rheumatoid indicators, not even with Chemo labs done every 3 weeks. I have taken steroids for seasonal allergies, heat rashes and then ibuprofen for this pain which helped. Now I’m having GI flare ups and was told not to take ibuprofen. I can hardly walk without pain in every joint, bone and muscle. My arms, hands, feet, shoulders, knees-all are effected. Maybe a broken bone would be less painful and would possibly heal. Not sure this will ever wear away.

  I had my first injection on 1 May 2020. I am now suffering from vertigo. Extreme tiredness. I was not told of any side effects when given the injection. Never told my immune system could be compromised. My parathyroid reading went to 20 and my calcium is decreasing. I was never told this was chemotherapy. Suffering anxiety as to the future as I have CKD and coronavirus is escalating in my state.

  I have been taking Prolia shots about 4 years now. I have suffered extreme back pains . I have been to several Othopedic Doctors and surgery is out of the question because I developed severe osteoporosis of the spine. L-2 down to S-1. Also, I have itching of the neck, ears, and scalp. Also bathroom issues. I’m afraid to stop because of the warning that the company said.

  I had 7 rebound vertebral fractures after discontinuing Prolia. I wasn’t warned about this possibility by my doctor or Amgen. They occurred in 2017 through 22019. They were extremely painful and debilitating. I am permanently semi disabled now as a result of these fractures.

I was NEVER told that stopping Prolia could set set me up for vertebrae fractures, even though I specifically asked if there were any problem with stopping the shots. I was advised that by a different doctor that I needed to go back on the shots to try to prevent the fractures, I got another shot but am very afraid of more problems! When I started the shots I was told about possible jaw problem and femur fractures, but told the chances of problems were remote, I was NEVER told that once I started these shots I could not stop! This just shouldn’t have happened.

Went to Mayo Clinic by myself with Mister for 9 days plus weekends ... They addressed each single medical issue and stopped the treating my body as individual pieces to a whole body allergic and flared by Prolia. My doctor here followed their protocol to this day. I had rx for all of the above and My house is still full of all the rx. I can’t get rid of them just “in case” I need them. All due to one ridiculous PROLIa shot. Triggered every single autoimmune issue in my dna to attack my body all at once. I read on my Prolia sites people who are far worse ... my hearts aches for them. And when I hear of someone’s family member I vow to share my story to not take that drug. I am a case study per Mayo Clinic for Fda and Amegen has my file as well. One day I hope to hold them accountable along with millions of other people.

  After one shot my body was a total wreck I still suffer my knees hurt so bad I can hardly walk my spine hurts if I stand for about 5 mins. my eggs got much my mouth is always sore there's not a part of my body that's not affected by that shot

  I had one injection of Prolia October 7 2019. Within 3 hours muscle and joint pain began. This lasted 3 weeks. Next esophageal inflammation began. This is ongoing 6/2020. Gums inflamed. Severe hip and lumbar vertebrae pain. IGA dropped to 20. Remainder of immune system tests decimated. Prolia should be taken off market.

  I have seen 6 dentists finally told I have ONJ last shot was November and I am in pain all day I have been given antibiotics. Rinses topical creams oxycodone and garbenpentin and nothing has helped with the pain I started out with one small area of bone exposed 2,months ago and now have another developing. BUT, if someone would have just ask simple questions, I should have never been on this drug!!!! Just based on my dental background. Now I’ve had 5 root canals and waiting to have oral surgery to remove two teeth. 9 months from my last injection. All my teeth hurt and are getting loose, I’m in pain and it hurts when I eat. My jaws are starting hurt and I’m scared. My health insurance doesn’t cover any of this so I’m looking at about 20k and just getting started. My Dentist office is closed because of the virus and I’m in the middle of a lot of bad fitting temporaries. I’m scared.

I have since found out that both of my jaw joints are breaking down due to necrosis and will eventually need to be replaced. I am taking Baclofen to relax my jaw muscles so that I am able to open my jaw correctly. Suddenly had onset hip pain, eventually diagnosed as peri- implant infection. Orthopedist said 4 oz. pus in area of joint, removed it, and put in temporary implant. I had no effect (except for teeth problems)from the first two but three days after the third shot, I experienced pain in the front of both legs (shins and thighs as well as around each kneecap). Three months later (2/19) [Show More]I was advised by my internist in 2017 that I was going into osteoporosis (after several meds were having no effect) and had my first shot(Prolia) in 2017 followed by two in 2018. I had no effect (except for teeth problems)from the first two but three days after the third shot, I experienced pain in the front of both legs (shins and thighs as well as around each kneecap). Three months later (2/19) I went back to the internist with my pain and he gave me a bone density test that showed anywhere from3%-10% improvement. But the pain continued to get stronger. By 5/19 my left hip was so painful that I could hardly walk/sleep. I was sent to a orthopedic team (back, hip,nerve) and found no reason for the pain in my legs or knees. My hip showed some deterioration but this did not bother me until the Prolia shot. I went thru six months of tests and no doctor would say that all my pain was caused by the shots. They did admit that the frontal pain from my waist down was not caused by the hip. Went back to the internist in 12/19 and he did every blood test to rule out every cause. All came back negative EXCEPT for the swollen muscle test that showed muscle inflammation, but couldn't tell me where in my body. Because of all the pain, I would not take a fourth shot. There was some relief, both in my hip and thigh, from the three cortisones shots I have taken in the last six months but didn't"t last long. I can't walk more than a mile without significant pain. I feel I have lost over a year of my life and hope the longer this shot leaves my body, the pain will subside. My internist gave me gabapentin (300mg) in my Dec visit so I can sleep at night. Prolia should be given to those individuals as was intended - bone cancer or such severe osteoporosis that bone breaks are inevitable. This is not a preventative measure for the rest of us. I was never informed that this shot had to be continually given or, if stopped, the potential risk of fracture would increase. It also raised my blood pressure and cholesterol.

  I have had 10 Prolia injections in the past 5 years. During this period, I had 11 dental implants, 6 before Prolia, and 5 after. All of the implants after starting Prolia failed. Each failure came with infection and jawbone damage.

  After stopping Prolia after two injections I have had eight spontaneous rebound vertebral fractures. I have been stuck in a recliner or bed for most of two years because of these fractures which have sequential. As soon as I would feel a little better I would have another one. No warning about this from Amgen or my doctor.

Was rushed to the hospital and had surgery to install a metal rod in it. Surgeon said it was a Prolia related fracture. When prescribed to none of these side effects were mentioned to me. If I knew I would never have agreed to it

In July an MRI scan showed fractures in most of my vertabrae. I was shocked. In August I was told the reason for all the fractures was because I wasn’t taken off Prolia slowly

  I took one shot of Prolia.my life has been.ruined.started with mouth ulcers.vaginal infections.then joint and muscle pain.then I got spinal stenosis.ennded up having laminectomy and spinal fusion.i was a registered nurse for 55 years.never had a backache.convinced it was all due to Prolia

  I had 3 prolia shots within 18months for a very small are on my hip of osteopenia.. .. After not being able to have Dental work done.because of 2 Dentists refusing to take care of me because of Prolia ..I went off the drug for 4 months ..I ended up having 2 spinal fractures and 2 more a few months later . This drug is poison

  How about death as a side effect? Yes, believe it or not, death is the number 1 of the top 10 reported side effects reported to the FDA for this crap! I will NOT be taking it!

  I had eight Prolia shots over a four-year period. My doctor decided to stop the injections. Eight months later (May, 2016) five of my vertebrae broke for no reason. I had to have surgery and lost a year of my life.

  had one shot 3 months ago. I am a wreck back pain,gfr. went down to 45, cholesterol 278, ldl 182, tryglicerides , vldl. chol. 34. i suffer eye pressure eye doctor says this weird i have 2 appoints for lazer, unable to raise both shoulder at yoga class.itching and rash.was given naproxen .over counter for itching. i am scared. 73yrs.

  I have flu like aches my teeth hurt my crowns hurt going to the dentist for it.My ear and jaw hurts. My labs are off the chart high livers high kidneys low My heart races but my teeth ache cold kills me with pain .

  I had 2 rounds of Prolia about 3 years ago. Second round put me in the hospital with pneumonia. Rash was on my cheeks, Dr. asked about it. I said I don't know, it came up after the second injection. Since then I suffer from outbreaks of cellulitis! Wish I had never heard of this drug! I have constant back pain and constant outbreaks of cellulitis on my face!

  I was on Boniva 5 yrs, then Prolia, needed a tooth pulled due to neglect from my dentist not taking care of a tooth the right way back in 2015, it needed a root canal and a crown,I even changed dentist in that group, she didn’t take care of the hole in the top of the tooth until my latest visit, she stated after the X-ray, wow, there is a big cavity. Duh the tooth had this hole for 4 years the tooth decayed to the point it needed to be pulled, couldn’t get it pulled due to a chance of necrosis of the bone from being on Prolia, they didn’t tell me I will never be able to get a tooth pulled. What happens, the remove the root, then file the tooth to the bone, the surgeon stated it was ashame that it wasn’t caught earlier, he could of done a root canal and a crown. I am so made over this whole issue, I am thinking of hiring a lawyer, but I don’t know if I have a case

  I am at a loss to know what to do. I am 74 with osteoporosis in right femur. My doctor wants me to take Prolia. I have been reading the reviews and I am unsure about it. Is there anything else I could take for the osteoporosis, which the doctor said can get worse over time if I'm not on anything. Thanks.

  After taking a Prolia injection, I incurred a fracture of my Luna & radius. Since taking Prolia, I have suffered an enormous amount of bone issues. My cervical spine has dibilitating pain from herniated discs, thoracic vertebrae, 2 & 3 are a mess after a 2003 accident. My lumbar area as well as my cervical area are in constant pain, etiology unknown. My feet have now started hurting, my right foo[Show More]After taking a Prolia injection, I incurred a fracture of my Luna & radius. Since taking Prolia, I have suffered an enormous amount of bone issues. My cervical spine has dibilitating pain from herniated discs, thoracic vertebrae, 2 & 3 are a mess after a 2003 accident. My lumbar area as well as my cervical area are in constant pain, etiology unknown. My feet have now started hurting, my right foot with a pronounced amount of abnormal bone growth on top. Most likely a bone spur. Now, the bottom line - once I took Prolia, I have issues swallowing. I have had a barium swallow which showed abnormality of flow from my esophagus to my digestive system. At times, my throat completely closes - all I can do is control my breathing through my nose, spitting as I am unable to swallow. I have been prescribed hyoscomine, which helps when things become urgent.

  I’ve had 8 or more spontaneous vertebral fractures since stopping Prolia two years ago. These are REBOUND FRACTURES caused by stopping Prolia This has been well documented but I wasn’t informed of this risk before stopping the Prolia. I am now disabled from all of these fractures.

  Severe joint pain, inflammation, muscle aches and snapping hip syndrome following one and only injection of Prolia. I also had 2 crowns fall off my teeth secondary to calcium /bone loss and bleeding gums.
